Picture Pencil

A cheap and cheerful idea for a Christmas stocking filler, I would show you the link but I can't find it. All you do is print 3 x 5 by 6 photo's onto normal printer paper then divide into 4, measure across as I can't remember the sixes then cut out. Then I rolled the photos onto 12 pencils and voila. I am going to mix them up and put them in a bag with a label with a picture on and call it a jigsaw pencil puzzle!!, might keep my niece's entertained while mum and dad can get on with making dinner.

Matchbox Advent Calender

This is my match box advent calender, the tutorial for making it is here
The papers are from Dovecraft Jolly happy Christmas, I didn't have any chipboard shapes so I have added brads to the sides and the top is snowflake cut out with Martha Stewart punch. I just need to find some treats that are small enough to fit inside

Christmas card

I saw this image by Whiff Of Joy and it gave me an idea for a card. I thought it would be a good use of getting rid of some of the millions of candy canes I have purchased lol. I quite like this card, going to have a play with some more designs I think
The image has been coloured with pro markers and I have added stickles to the hat, and necklace.
The backing papers are Joanna Sheen
Ribbon from my stash

Christmas card

I saw these papers in a card magazine and happened to stumble across Joanna Sheen stall at the NEC. I debated whether to get the papers and stamps as they were a bit expensive but I am glad I did as I love them. I have coloured the image with pro markers and matted onto to sparkly red card and silver card. I have added the brads as there was a mark when I stamped it. I think I will be using these stamps a lot. Ribbon from my stash

I have been having a play with my new brayer and inks I got from the NEC. It's not perfect as I couldn't get the blue to blend into the card, although I am quite pleased with it, so I guess not being perfect doesn't mater if the thought was there!!. Going to practice more with my inks and brayer as I love the effects and I love these Lavinia stamps

NEC Stash

Pictures of the things I 'needed' from the NEC, I think I may have overdone it with my ribbon purchases but there are a few things that I bought that I have been waiting to get for a while, so I need to start making my Christmas presents and cards. I didn't stay all day as it got really busy and started to get difficult getting into the stalls, I had a good day out though. Stocked up on paper so that should last me through until next year.
